WASHINGTON (TNND) — The Department of Health and Human Services, under the direction of Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., plans to require all new vaccines to be tested in placebo-controlled trials before they are licensed for public use. “Under Secretary Kennedy’s leadership, all new vaccines will undergo safety testing in placebo-controlled trials prior to licensure — a radical departure from past practices,” an HHS spokesperson told The Washington Post in a statement.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSTM) — (APRIL 30 UPDATE) All 11 suspects have turned themselves in to authorities, according to Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick. The District Attorney's Office gave the suspects 48 hours to turn themselves in or face serious charges. The DA's Office said they turned themselves in within 24 hours. This is a developing story.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Shocking video captured a boat flipping through the air and crashing in the water after reaching high speeds in western Arizona. The powerboat was trying to set a speed record on Lake Havasu and reached about 210 miles per hour before it went airborne and somersaulted. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said its patrol boats were on the water when deputies saw the crash. The deputies were able to take them to a nearby launch ramp where an ambulance was waiting.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (7News) — 7News is continuing to get an inside look at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) operations in Washington, D.C., and Virginia. On Thursday, ICE arrested a man identified as Marvin Mateo-Alberto, who they say was charged with child sex crimes in Fairfax County and is in the U.S. illegally. 7News was there to observe the early morning arrest in Herndon. ICE ERO issued an immigration detainer against Honduran national Marvin Mateo-Alberto.
