LONGMONT, Colo. (KDVR) — Several state agencies got a bird’s eye view Thursday morning to practice skills on fighting wildfires from above. The Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control does the training annually, and teams up with the Colorado National Guard and a couple of local fire departments to make it happen.

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — On Monday, police are inviting people in the community to swing by the Aurora Police Department Headquarters to grab a free steering wheel lock. At the Aurora Police Department Headquarters, located at 15001 E. Alameda Pkwy., officers will hand out the wheel locks from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two per household. If you would like to grab one, you need to bring two documents to show proof of your vehicle.

DENVER (KDVR) — King Soopers employees were up early Thursday morning to get on the picket line and go on strike after bringing up a series of issues they said they wanted addressed by the large grocery chain. The UFCW local 7 union represents the grocery store workers and said the strike will cover all unionized King Soopers stores throughout Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties, as well as King Soopers stores in the cities of Boulder and Louisville.
