Looking northwest up Pape Avenue from Gowan to Cosburn avenues, this block of buildings is now hidden behind hoarding where Cosburn Station will be built on the Ontario Line 3 subway. This image by UrbanToronto Forum contributor kotsy catches demolition underway on the top floor of one of the buildings. Besides the station, transit oriented communities will be built on the two-block site as well.

Tall buildings now line up along Yonge Street in behind the low-rise commercial storefronts that have lined the street for decades. In this image looking northwest across Yonge at the corner with Wellesley Street by UrbanToronto Forum contributor Lachlan Holmes, the new buildings can be read either as protectors of the older ones and the human-scale pedestrian realm they maintain on Yonge (as there's not enough space to place more tall buildings up against them), or as intruders to the area.

In this shot across Grange Park by UrbanToronto Forum contributor rdaner, the latest wing at the AGO, the Dani Reiss Modern and Contemporary Gallery, pops into view rising behind The Grange. Also partly obscured by a red maple, the multi-storey addition to the art museum will add 30% more space for the display of works from the AGO's vast collection, most of which is currently in storage.

A couple of days ago @rlbamericas released their latest #cranecount, which for no good reason, some people take seriously. It only reports on a handful of cities in NA, ignores many others with lots of activity, and now only includes a small area of Toronto. Totally useless data.
