It’s been 10 years since a new train service “transformed the way people travel” the relatively short distance between the heart of Canada’s largest city and the country’s biggest and busiest airport. In what at the time was the “first dedicated express air-rail link service in North America,” the UP Express took its first passengers between Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga and Union Station in downtown Toronto on June 6, 2015, Ontario transit officials say.

When it comes to being named among the worst roads in Ontario, Hurontario Street in Mississauga is a pretty consistent recent performer. For the third consecutive year, that major road — one of the busiest in Canada’s seventh-largest city — has placed in the top 10 on the CAA’s annual list of the worst roads in the province. The Mississauga section of Hurontario Street earned fifth spot on the latest list, released on Thursday, to match its ranking from last year.

Ten people face a total of 203 charges in connection with a number of violent incidents across the Greater Toronto Area, including the March 7 mass shooting at a Scarborough pub and the attempted armed robbery of a financial institution in Mississauga. All 10 of the accused are from Toronto as is an 11th suspect sought by Toronto Police, who revealed details of the “complex investigation” at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
