Jaremy Smith, the confessed "Cop Killer," was sentenced to life in prison after killing state police officer Justin Hare last year. There were a lot of tears and loud silence in the courtroom, but the loudest sounds were the giggles and cries of Hare's newborn daughter, whom he will never get to meet. It's an act of violence that Hare's family said deserved the death sentence.
