House prices in one Hull postcode, which was recently named one of the UK's coolest places to live, have risen by almost 20% in the last twelve months. The HU1 postcode area, which includes much of Hull's city centre, the Old Town, and the Marina, was recently featured in the Sunday Times' '11 coolest UK postcodes to move to in 2025.' The paper claims "Hull has now entered its glow-up era," and cites the impressive redevelopment of the 'hipsterish' Marina area.

New data has revealed the most affordable and most expensive places to buy a home in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. Peterborough is the cheapest place to buy a home in the county. Homes in the PE1 postcode area sold for an average of £211,950 each in the 12 months to the end of February. That’s more affordable than any postcode area in the county with at least 20 sales over the last year. Wisbech is the next cheapest place in our county to buy a home.

The cheapest place in Somerset to fill up your car with petrol is at a Sainsbury's garage in Somerset. According to the latest data supplied by retailers, a driver in an average family car could save up to £17 by filling up at this forecourt, compared to the most expensive petrol station. The Sainsbury's garage at Billet Street, Somerset is charging motorists 129.9p per litre, which means it would cost £71 to fill up an average 55 litre tank.
