TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Dry air returns to southern Arizona and will allow our temperatures to climb back into the low 100s as we approach the weekend. Thursday will give us one more day of upper 90s before the low 100s return for the weekend. By Sunday afternoon, in Tucson, we will come close to seeing our first 105° day of the year. Hot, sunny, breezy weather will keep our wildfire risk high all through the weekend and into the middle of next week.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Another low pressure system will cross over the desert as we go through the middle of the week, but this one will not pack the moisture that the last system did. A few showers and thunderstorms will cruise to the north of Tucson and favor areas closer to the White Mountains from Wednesday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Dry air will soon return and allow heat to build across southern Arizona through the end of the week.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Dry weather returns to southern Arizona and will have us feeling much more typical June heat by the end of the week. Another low pressure system will bring a few showers and thunderstorms to the White Mountains, but southern Arizona will stay dry as this next system passes to the north. Along with the dry weather, high temperatures will start climbing into the 90s through the middle of the week and into the low 100s for the end of the week.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — A low pressure system and remnants of Tropical Storm Alvin are still on track to combine to bring some much welcome weekend rain to southern Arizona. Saturday, only some isolated thunderstorms will develop to the south and southeast of Tucson. We are concerned about some of the first thunderstorms developing that could produce dry lightning and spark wildfires.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — We will finish the week with triple-digit heat, but some tropical moisture will bring relief in the form of cooler temperatures and a few showers. High temperatures will remain in the low 100s through Friday as tropical moisture moves over southern Arizona. This moisture will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms Friday and Saturday with most activity occurring south and southeast of Tucson.
