TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Some Eastside residents are without water Wednesday afternoon after a water main break in the neighborhood southeast of East Speedway Boulevard and North Pantano Road, according to Tucson Water. The water flowed through neighborhood streets and onto Speedway beginning around early afternoon. Some customers were left without water as a result.

TUSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — On Sunday various agencies including the Oracle Fire Department and Southwest Area incident Management Team 4 held a public meeting to keep the community in the know about the Cody Fire. “I’m just glad to be alive,” Kaliko Willingham said. Willingham was one of the people who live in Oracle whose house burned in the fire. “I’m devastated. I’ve only had probably 17 hours of sleep in four days,” she said. On Wednesday she said firefighters knocked on her door to evacuate her.

CATALINA FOOTHILLS, Ariz. (KGUN) — On Wednesday, Catalina Foothills High School seniors are graduating on their football field. The school district said they are one of the biggest graduating classes the high school has ever had with more than 500 graduates. Out of all the seniors, more than 92 percent of them are going to college. Three seniors, they said, are going to Ivy League schools including Dartmouth, Brown, and Princeton. Six seniors are also going into the military.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Back in March, Pima County got a letter from the Department of Homeland Security that said DHS/FEMA is temporarily holding back reimbursement payments to them for three grants. Those grants went towards housing and services for migrants. The county tells KGUN 9 the federal government owes them more than $12 million. Now the county, along with the cities of Denver and Chicago, are suing DHS to get money back that they should have received from grants through FEMA.

NAFA Fleet Management Association recognized Pima County’s Fleet Services department. They got number 6 in their 2025 Best Fleets in the Americas Competition. This is the second time they got number 6. “This would be absolutely impossible without the staff and the pride they take in their work,” said Fleet Director Leonard Boswell.
