KNOWLTON — The driver of a school bus carrying 25 students that got into a single-vehicle crash on Route 80 was charged with driving while intoxicated on Saturday. Acting Warren County Prosecutor Jessica Cardone said the bus became disabled in the westbound left lane in Knowlton around 7:45 a.m. with heavy front end damage. One person on board was injured. BARNEGAT — A second wildfire in four days is burning in New Jersey. Twelve structures are threatened by the "Jones Wildfire" in the Greenwood Forest Wildlife Management Area in Barnegat. The fire was first spotted Tuesday morning. It has burned 150 acres with none of the fire contained as of 1:30 p.m.Firefighters have tackled the fire from the ground, building new containment lines and reinforcing existing ones.

PRINCETON — A search began after midnight Tuesday for a missing student in a lake at Princeton University. Princeton University Public Safety said 23-year-old Lauren Blackburn was last seen near Firestone Library on Saturday around 6 p.m. wearing blue jeans with torn knees, a yellow t-shirt with a black, zippered hooded sweatshirt, and blue, flat bottom shoes. Blackburn is described as 6 feet, 2 inches and 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and a member of the Class of 2026.

LAKEWOOD — A police officer heading home after his shift on Saturday morning was struck by a pickup that ran a red light at 106 mph, officials said. The officer was headed east on Cedarbridge Avenue when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado that blew north through a red light at New Hampshire Avenue, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer. The pickup then went down an embankment and crashed into a drainage basin behind the Quick Chek.

HAMILTON (Mercer) — Residents of a Mercer County neighborhood were greeted by a black bear running down the street Monday morning. Video captured by a homeowner's Ring video showed the bear in the area of Paxson Avenue and Edinburg Road in the University Heights neighborhood in the Mercerville section of Hamilton around 8 a.m., galloping between yards. Animal Control said they received several calls and went to the neighborhood to track the bear.

MANCHESTER — A motorcyclist was thrown over 140 feet on Saturday afternoon after colliding with a car on Route 37. Manchester police said the motorcycle was headed west on Route 37. It burst into flames after being struck by a Honda Accord entering the road from Colonial Drive. The motorcyclist, William C. Swiderski, 24, of Brick, was thrown across the road onto the eastbound shoulder. He was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River where he was pronounced dead.

New York's $9 congestion toll on most drivers entering the busiest part of Manhattan remained in effect Sunday, despite an Easter deadline from the Trump administration to halt the first-in-the-nation fee. Both Gov. Kathy Hochul's office and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the state agency overseeing the tolls, confirmed Sunday that its system of traffic cameras continues to collect the fee assessed on most cars entering the borough below Central Park.
