Starting tomorrow, May 7, 2025, US travelers are expected to have a Real ID (or other acceptable form of identification) for all domestic flights. If you're headed to the airport without your Real ID, you'll still be able to fly. However, your TSA checks might take more time. According to head of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, travelers who aren't Real ID-compliant "may be diverted to a different line, have an extra step" at airport security checkpoints.
