Ajua Contemporary Mexican Kitchen & Bar, offering Mexican cuisine, is open in Jacksonville Beach. It is in the former The G.O.A.T. Tapas & Bar space at 311 Third St. N. between Second and Third Avenue North and faces Second Avenue North. Ajua is co-owned by Azhar Mohammad and Raul Perez, who opened it about four weeks ago. Combined, the co-owners have around 40 years of restaurant experience. In addition to operating Ajua, Mohammad is national culinary director for the PGA Tour.

Orange Blossoms is the second breakfast restaurant for Dan Altman. It is at 14329 Beach Blvd., in the Pablo Station shopping center west of San Pablo Road South. Altman owns Jax Beach Brunch Haus at 610 Third St. S. He has been there for a decade, changing the restaurant’s name from Loving Cup Hash House eight years ago. Altman and his partner, Tommy Walker, took over Orange Blossoms as owners and operators in January. It previously was Florida Cracker and later became Orange Blossoms.

Max’s Restaurant will open May 31 in College Park, the former Town & Country Shopping Center, in Arlington. It is at 907 University Blvd. N., near Legacy Ministries. It announced the opening May 28 on social media. The 4,656-square-foot restaurant specializes in Philippine cuisine. It seats 148, according to building plans. The Philippines-based Max’s Restaurant began in 1945 when Maximo Gimenez, a Stanford–educated teacher, befriended the American occupation troops stationed at Quezon City.

ArchWell Health, a health care service provider aimed at patients 60 and older, will open May 28 in Arlington at 1072 Arlington Road N. in a building north of the Arlington Expressway. It is the first of four ArchWell Health clinics scheduled to open in Northeast Florida in coming weeks. ArchWell Health specializes in treating patients with Medicare Advantage coverage. The other three locations scheduled to open are: • Archwell Health - Jax Heights, 7628 103rd St. in Oak Hill Village, on June 12.

Southern Grounds will open the week of June 9 in Costa Verde Shops in Jacksonville Beach, according to a May 25 news release. The restaurant and coffee shop is at 2405 Third St. S. near 25th Avenue South. It is east of SoNapa Grille in the former Two | One | Four by Rachel Lazzara space. Jacksonville-based Southern Grounds has five locations in Northeast Florida, including 200 First St. in Neptune Beach. Another is planned to open soon at Mayo Clinic Florida at 14100 Mayo Blvd., Room 1110.
