    Salvatore’s Old Fashioned Pizzeria at 4820 Deer Lake W. in Tapestry Park has closed. The Rochester, New York-based chain has 37 restaurants opened or planned throughout New York State and one planned in North Carolina, according to its website. The Jacksonville restaurant is not listed on the website. It announced its expansion to Jacksonville in July 2023 and opened in February 2024. In addition to pizza the restaurant served calzones, Italian subs, wings, burgers, fish, pasta dinners and desserts.

    The Bateh family can continue to operate Akel’s Deli in the Bank of America Tower at 50 Laura St. Downtown through Nov. 30. Jonathan Bateh said April 16 the lease, which was to expire April 30, has been extended. The family also operates Ground Level Coffee in the tower lobby. In February, Colliers Urban Division, which leases building amenities, announced that Starbucks Coffee Co. will take 2,364 square feet of space at the corner of Laura and Bay streets that at one time had been a gift shop.

    Dave’s Hot Chicken opens April 18 at 10261 River Marsh Drive, No. 137, in St. Johns Town Center, according to its Facebook page. It is the restaurant’s first Jacksonville location. It is next to PetSmart and Firehouse Subs. The Pasadena, California-based chain has more than 200 locations. There are 13 international restaurants open or planned. The company serves tenders, sliders, fries, kale slaw and macaroni and cheese.

    Plenti, a 2-year-old restaurant at 200 Riverside Ave., will close after business April 18, according to an email sent to the Daily Record by owner Dean Nixon. It is on the ground floor of the Vista Brooklyn apartments. He cited several reasons for the decision.

    The 422,136-square-foot warehouse at 1000 Imeson Industrial Park Blvd. in North Jacksonville sold April 9 for $53.75 million. The buyer was CIP Real Estate of Irvine, California, through CIP Imeson LLC. The seller was North Signal Capital of Stamford, Connecticut, and Fox Capital Partners of Pittsburgh, through Imeson Property LLC. JLL Capital Markets of Miami brokered the deal for the sellers. The property is leased by RoadOne IntermodaLogistics.
