ST PAUL, Minn. — A St. Paul man will serve a 10-year sentence in federal prison for his role in a drug smuggling conspiracy that involved putting fentanyl in stuffed animals and mailing them to the Twin Cities. Quijuan Hosea Bankhead, age 31, was sentenced to 120 months after pleading guilty to his part in a drug distribution conspiracy. MINNEAPOLIS — Federal law enforcement teams descended on two Twin Cities restaurants Tuesday morning, conducting operations for a reason that is currently unclear. Vested officers entered Taqueria y Birrieria las Cuatro Milpas locations in Minneapolis and Bloomington late morning. A KARE 11 crew reported that some of those carrying out the raid in Bloomington were members of an FBI Evidence Team.

MINNEAPOLIS — A Twin Cities man will never be free again, after being sentenced to life in prison without parole for fatally shooting two others after an altercation inside a Minneapolis tobacco shop. Maleek Jabril Conley already knew his fate, after a Hennepin County jury found him guilty on two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, a crime which carries a mandatory sentence of life without parole.
