Voters in Ottawa County will now have up to 9 days to vote early before any state or federal election. The news comes after the Board of Commissioners Tuesday approved a plan presented by the county clerk’s office. According to the Clerk’s office, The Ottawa County Early Voting Plan calls for four vote centers in separate regions of the county where any voter may participate in state or federal elections starting next year.

A new, $220 million redevelopment project on Muskegon Lake may soon become reality, as plans call to redevelop land that once housed a former paper mill. Parkland Properties and President Jon Rooks are behind the redevelopment proposal, which has been branded "Windward Pointe;" the group is responsible for a number of revitalization projects in the city, including Muskegon’s new convention center downtown.

Officials from Grand Rapids Public Schools have launched a public campaign encouraging city residents to vote "yes" on an upcoming bond proposal. The campaign, branded as the “Yes to GR Kids” hopes to drive support of a $305 million school improvement bond proposal for Grand Rapids Public Schools this November.
