The canine was found stray in September last year and after being reunited with its owner they were told to get the animal microchipped within 21 days or face a possible court date. The owner, from Thomas Street in Sacriston, County Durham, failed to follow the order and was prosecuted.

Lee Percival, 40, will not be allowed into Norton town centre or be able to be in possession of open alcohol bottles or cans in public. Police said they received repeated reports of him aggressive drinking, being verbally abusive to the community and begging.
