More sunshine is expected to start off the day, with much lighter winds as well, improving conditions overall for the region. It looks like we may see a few isolated showers this evening, but no thunderstorm activity is expected.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Another round of severe storms ripped through NE Kansas last night, even more intense and widespread than what was seen Sunday night. Multiple severe storms and a few tornado warnings were issued across the area, paired with high winds and heavy rainfall totaling up to 4 inches in some locations. Weaker thunderstorms followed in their path late into Monday night and early Tuesday morning, before conditions began to become dryer by around 5 AM.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Severe storms pushed through NE Kansas last night, bringing large hail and powerful winds to the area. No tornadoes were seen in our viewing area, but we’ll have another chance for inclement weather heading into Monday evening. A few severe warnings were issued across NE Kansas last night, as a line of storms swept across the region.
