TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Wednesday should prove to be a bit warmer than Tuesday, with most of the area seeing highs in the middle 70s. More sunshine is expected to start off the day, with much lighter winds as well, improving conditions overall for the region. It looks like we may see a few isolated showers this evening, but no thunderstorm activity is expected.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Another round of severe storms ripped through NE Kansas last night, even more intense and widespread than what was seen Sunday night. Multiple severe storms and a few tornado warnings were issued across the area, paired with high winds and heavy rainfall totaling up to 4 inches in some locations. Weaker thunderstorms followed in their path late into Monday night and early Tuesday morning, before conditions began to become dryer by around 5 AM.

No tornadoes were seen in our viewing area, but we’ll have another chance for inclement weather heading into Monday evening. A few severe warnings were issued across NE Kansas last night, as a line of storms swept across the region.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Saturday is looking to be a calm and cloudy day, with temperatures returning to the lower 60s. It will be very similar to Friday, with the exception of a few sprinkles possible late this evening. Rain will become a bit more widespread after Midnight, but should still stay fairly isolated. Sunday will contain more rain, with on and off showers throughout the day, with mostly cloudy skies and highs a bit warmer in the lower 70s.

Some additional storms may develop this evening, though they should be a bit weaker comparatively. Last night’s severe storms resulted in many severe storm warnings, alongside a few tornado warnings and extreme wind gusts.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Temperatures have returned to the 90s this afternoon across NE Kansas, and look to stay there through the end of the month and into August. After nearly a week of below average temperatures, NE Kansas is feeling the heat once again. Highs in the lower 90s were observed across the area Tuesday afternoon, with mostly sunny skies and a few stray showers that managed to develop. We’re looking at lows in the middle to upper 60s, with clear skies and little chance of precipitation.
