ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. β Amid rising food costs, food banks across Colorado have been dealt an additional blow of cuts to federal funding. Charles Mathis relies on the Adams County Food Bank to help feed his family. "The reason why I enjoyed coming to this particular food bank is because of the variety that you would receive. DENVER β The City of Denver is giving away $10,000 to business owners looking to reduce waste or become more sustainable but can't front the cost on their own. Applications for the Certifiably Green Denver mini-grants are now open for 2025. "I needed something, some more food and diversity around here," said Kim Le, owner of Sesame Sandwich Shop in City Park West.
