LUBBOCK, Texas — After he pleaded guilty to Murder at the beginning of the week, a Lubbock jury on Friday sentenced Joshua Walker, 48, to 80 years in prison for the 2021 shooting death of Alberto Garza, Sr., 68. On December 26, 2021, officers were called to the 500 block of 79th Street just before 10:00 p.m. for shots fired. EverythingLubbock.com previously reported an arrest warrant said Timothy Lovato, 42, heard an argument between the shooter and his neighbor.
