Two casualties were taken to hospital after paramedics were sent to a crash on a country lane between Sheffield and Barnsley. Emergency Services have confirmed that they were sent to the scene of the incident, on Cranberry Road, between Stocksbridge and Penistone, this morning. A specialist paramedic was sent to the scene as well as two ambulances, and the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

This is the innocent teenager who tragically lost his life in a devastating crash in Darnall, Sheffield, on Wednesday. South Yorkshire Police today officially confirmed the identity of the 16-year-old boy, who was killed in a collision involving a car as he walked along Staniforth Road in the late afternoon. Officers confirmed that the boy’s name was Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi, and released a picture of him, standing outside the Peace Gardens in Sheffield city centre.

Police have arrested a suspect after launching a murder investigation following the death of a man found seriously injured in Sheffield. South Yorkshire Police today announced an arrest, and named the victim of the suspected attack as 32-year-old man, Mazin Kaladi. They have also issued a picture of Mr Kaladi, as they continue their investigation and appeal for information.

A road has been closed after a crash on a country lane between Sheffield and Barnsley. Emergency services have been described as being on the scene after the crash, which is thought to have happened before 11am today. The AA has described Mortimer Road, between Stocksbridge and Penistone, as closed in both directions.
