The Star (Sheffield)
The Star, commonly referred to as the Sheffield Star, is a daily newspaper that serves the Sheffield area in England, published from Monday to Saturday. It started as a broadsheet but transitioned to a tabloid format in 1993. The Star, along with the weekly Sheffield Telegraph and the Green 'Un, is produced by Sheffield Newspapers Ltd, which is owned by JPIMedia and located at The Balance on Pinfold Street in Sheffield City Centre. This newspaper is aimed at readers in South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, and North Nottinghamshire, offering both a main edition and a district edition specifically for Doncaster. However, the district editions for Rotherham and Barnsley were discontinued in 2008. The average readership for The Star is around 105,498 per issue.

Commuters faced traffic this morning after emergency services responded to a motorbike collision on a busy road in Barnsley. Earlier this morning (May 14), police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Doncaster Road, one of the main routes into Barnsley town centre. It is reported that an orange motorbike was involved in a single-vehicle collision. The rider suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
