FOX 2 - Chet Lemon, one of the heroes of the Detroit Tigers 1984 World Series championship team, has died at 70. Lemon died Thursday at his home. He had been battling health issues including blood clots and more than a dozen strokes with the ailments leaving him unable to walk or talk. AdvertisementThe former outfielder was a three-time American League All-Star and retired in 1990. The Detroit Free Press reported that since 1990, Lemon had been hospitalized about 300 times.
Standoff in Detroit with hit-and-run driver ends with suspect's surrender

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Police were involved in a standoff with a hit-and-run driver in the area of Hubbell and W. Chicago Saturday. After a few hours the suspect came out into police custody. The driver reportedly hit a car on Yinger Street on the east side of Dearborn, then refused a traffic stop attempt, leading police on a pursuit into Detroit where he crashed. The driver had been barricaded inside his vehicle.

Eight Mile Road this afternoon. Police say the suspects and victims knew each other. The suspects are still at large. No description has been released of the suspects. DETROIT (FOX 2) - Two people are dead after a crash at Fenkell and Evergreen and a female driver is under arrest on Detroit's west side Friday night. The crash happened at 7 p.m. when a gray SUV speeding southbound on Evergreen veered into the northbound lane into a bus stop area hitting two pedestrians, Detroit police said. The SUV continued to the gas station and hit another vehicle parked at a gas pump. The driver was arrested and the cause that led to the crash is being investigated.

"It says 5-foot-3, and 90 pounds?" the judge said. "The allegations were that he was running. The defendant was firing shots at him. "The court finds that very, very troubling if those allegations are true." Pugh had his first appearance in court Thursday, two days after he turned himself in.

The backstory: James Meloche is accused of altering photos of kids by placing images of children onto pornographic photos of adults. He’s charged with three counts of child sexually abusive activity, three counts of using a computer to commit a crime and three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.
