Norwalk is once again looking for a new Chief Financial Officer just as budget season heats up. CFO Henry Dachowitz is resigning to take another position closer to his home in New York City, Mayor Harry Rilling said in a news release. His last day will be Dec. 29. Dachowitz was hired in April 2019 to fill the role left vacant when then-CFO Bob Barron resigned suddenly three months earlier, just as City bodies began considering the budget.

A Seymour woman stabbed a man in his left thigh while the pair were sitting in a car parked on Connecticut Avenue, according to Norwalk Police. Yessica Paola Jimenez, 49, of Seymour was arrested and charged with Assault in the First Degree with a $500,000 bond. Her court date is Monday. Norwalk Police received a call at 4:24 p.m. Friday reporting a man with a leg injury at 385 Connecticut Ave., according to a news release. Patrol officers assisted Norwalk Emergency Service personnel in.

Norwalk Police detectives seek to identify the people in the above photo in connection to the Nov. 8 burglaries of several motor vehicles, they said. The suspects burglarized several vehicles parked on Muller Avenue and then used the car owner’s identifications to cash more than $30,000 in fraudulent checks, police said.
