The life and work of pioneering poet and director Pier Paolo Pasolini casts a long shadow over this record from French artist Karen Jebane, also known as Golem Mecanique. The album’s title, which translates as “we are all in danger”, is derived from the final interview Pasolini gave before his still-unsolved murder in 1975, and a sense of threat pervades the record from start to finish. This is a dense, foreboding album, its scale and texture as unforgiving as a vast, broiling body of water.

A former sub-postmistress wrongly jailed for theft has spoken of her frustration over the wait for compensation. Janet Skinner was handed a nine month sentence in 2007 over an alleged shortfall of £59,000 from her Post Office branch in Bransholme, Hull. She was one of more than 900 sub-postmasters who were prosecuted for stealing because of incorrect information from the Horizon computer system.

Plans to expand facilities at a green skills training centre in North East Lincolnshire have been approved. The development at the Catch site in Stallingborough includes an industrial decarbonisation centre and a renewable energy training centre. Its bosses said the facilities would help to deliver the skills needed to deliver the UK's net-zero infrastructure. North East Lincolnshire Council approved the plans on Friday and both facilities are expected to open in 2026.
