Florida Panthers star Aleksander Barkovhas been reported as out week-to-week by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period. Barkov had to be helped off the ice after awkwardly colliding with the boards while racing Ottawa's Tim Stutzle to a loose puck that'd become the clinching empty-net goal. Pagnotta adds that Barkov seems to have dodged the worst-case scenario and that his injury is considered a bad ankle sprain. Barkov's importance to the Panthers can't be understated.

Kyle Dubas has remained silent, at least publicly, about whether the Pittsburgh Penguins will be buyers or sellers at the NHL trade deadline. If the Penguins decide to add to their roster before March 8th, they have very few assets to utilize, likely taking them out of the running for any big fish this Spring. What the Penguins currently have is an abundance of defense-first forwards, a few underperforming goal scorers, and a shaky blue line.

Friday morning couldn’t come fast enough. As I counted down the days to my trip to Calgary, I was itching to explore some of the hidden gems the city has to offer. I travel quite a bit and while it’s mostly a quick in-and-out to cover a hockey game, oversee a photoshoot or work one of our many events, every so often I get the opportunity to visit a city and take in all its sights. On this trip, Calgary presented multiple highlights that I plan on taking advantage of the next time I’m in town.

2-0 Panthers after the 1st, and (so far) the fans here are loving it.

Ahead of Game 6 of the 2025 SCF, the #TimeToHunt can close things out on the #LetsGoOilers and win back-to-back #StanleyCup championships. Can Edmonton stay live? @DennisTFP & I tee up tonight's potential clincher, and touch on some notes surrounding Vegas, Montreal & Utah. https://t.co/AMAInKltqU
