Minneapolis police arrest man after allegedly vandalizing a Tesla Minneapolis police say officers have arrested a suspect who they believe is connected to a string of Tesla vandalism incidents. In all, the suspect is accused of damaging six Tesla vehicles, resulting in $20,000 in damages. Surveillance video shows that the man appeared to be writing something into the cars.

Karats by Auction House, an Edina auction house, has put more than 200 items of Johnny Cash memorabilia up for bidding. James Egge, the owner of Karats, has handwritten setlists and lyrics, signed photographs, contracts and jewelry worn by Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash.

A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty on a charge of producing and attempting to produce child pornography. In 2024, Samuel Eric Snell of Inver Grove Heights was federally indicted for child exploitation, leading to a call for action from federal investigators. He pleaded guilty Friday, according to court records.

A University of Minnesota graduate student is scheduled to appear in court on Friday in Minneapolis two weeks after being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Dogukan Gunaydin, a 28-year-old Turkish citizen, is an MBA student at the Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis. Homeland Security officials say Gunaydin's visa was revoked due to a 2023 DWI arrest in Minneapolis.

As Minneapolis officials say that fewer people there are experiencing homelessness compared to last year, some in rural parts of the state say that homelessness is affecting areas well outside the metro area. Kelly Bestul, who runs motels in Hutchinson with her husband Rick, says the homeless problem is bigger than most people realize. "On a rural level, it is here," she said. "They tent in the summer.
