WEYMOUTH − One person is dead and four other injured after a single-family home under construction in Weymouth collapsed on them while they were working on the building at about noon Tuesday. The roof of the unfinished structure at 19 Vine Street next to the RK Mart at 141 Broad St. rested atop a pile of rubble as emergency responders brought a stretcher with them searching for a man who was trapped inside. They emerged not long after with a man on a stretcher.

QUINCY – A three-alarm fire Sunday afternoon left the residents of a two-family house unable to return home after the fire, officials said. Fire officials said they believe the fire worked its way from the bottom floor up in a way that left the people who were in the home unaware of what was happening. "This was a fire that traveled concealed in the walls and ceiling," said Deputy Fire Chief Kevin O'Connor.

ROCKLAND – Luna is an 11-month-old pointer mix rescue from South Carolina now living in Rockland and in need of a prosthetic front leg.
