A man was reportedly punched and kicked by a group during an assault at a leisure centre. The alleged attack happened late last night (April 14) in Larkfield Leisure Centre in New Hythe Lane. Police were called to the scene at 10.35pm and were later joined by the ambulance service. The victim was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Maidstone Hospital. No weapons were reported seen or used.

A 9.5-acre woodland is set to go under the hammer at the end of the month. Moore Wood in Faversham is set to be auctioned along with a former GP surgery and 16th-century manor as part of 168 lots listed by firm Clive Emson. The woodland is made up of sweet chestnut and oak trees and has gated access. The boundary for the land on sale has been marked out by wooden posts painted blue.

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a major A-road. The fatal accident happened yesterday (April 12) at 3.50pm on the A259 in Brenzett, near Tickner’s Lane. Emergency services were called after a blue Toyota SUV collided with a Honda motorbike travelling in the same direction towards Lydd. Police, ambulances and air ambulance crews were at the scene and the road was closed in both directions. A 37-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.
