SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Memorial Day is just 12 days away. So, be sure to mark the calendar for the borough's 2025 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26 at 1 p.m. The upcoming parade kicks off at Spotswood High School before heading out onto Summerhill Road. From Summerhill Road, the route turns right onto Main Street. It continues up Main Street before turning onto Devoe Avenue. The parade route concludes at American Legion Post 253. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served at the American Legion.

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The SHOP at St. Peter's is celebrating veterans this Memorial Day weekend by offering a free shopping day on Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. until noon for veterans and their families. This event is not open to the public. It's a veterans-only event. There will be hot dogs, soft drinks, coffee, tea and pastries. The two-hour free shopping day also includes the retirement of military uniforms.

EDISON, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys tennis team took on Woodbridge Academy Magnet on Monday at Roosevelt Park. Spotswood lost to Woodbridge Academy 5-0. Aidan Levy lost his first singles match to Sanjay Gadadas, 6-0, 6-0 and Brandon Buchan dropped his second singles match to Harsha Bethapudi, 7-6, 6-1. Ryan Thompson lost his third singles match to Arya Ghiwala, 6-3, 7-5.

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Jim Muldowney Greater Middlesex Conference Baseball Tournament got going for the Chargers on Monday. Eighth-seeded Spotswood High School took on ninth-seeded Monroe Township High School in the first round at the Swamp. Both teams received a play-in round bye. Spotswood defeated Monroe 3-1 to move into the quarterfinals to face 16th-seeded South River High School. South River upset top-seeded Woodbridge High School 2-1 on Monday.
