David Holladay, Kegan O’Brien, Myles Scott and Jacob Johnson were given their oaths by Warsaw Mayor Jeff Grose in front of their family, friends and their brothers in the WWFT. Before that, Grose had everyone involved in emergency services stand.

    By David SloneTimes-UnionWARSAW — City of Warsaw officially approved an agreement Friday, June 6, with Denison Parking Inc. for downtown parking operations management. The Warsaw Common Council had a public meeting with Denison representatives at their April 21 meeting, but the Board of Public Works and Safety on Friday finally approved the agreement with Denison. City Planner Justin Taylor presented the agreement to the Board of Works on Friday.

    By David SloneTimes-UnionWARSAW — It’ll cost an estimated half million dollars to relocate the city of Warsaw’s skate park from Boggs Industrial Park to Richardson Dubois Park near Fribley Field. At the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting Friday, May 6, Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department Superintendent Larry Plummer requested permission to apply for an $80,000 Dekko Foundation grant to help fund the proposed skate park project.

    Virgil Hale, 65, of Pierceton, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Virgil was born on Nov. 1, 1959 in Norwalk, Ohio, to George and Edna (Scott) Hale. On Feb. 27, 1978 he married the love of his life, Kathy Jean Poe, in Pierceton . Virgil worked as an arborist for Hales Tree Service. He found joy in fishing and gardening, and especially loved spending time outdoors camping. He enjoyed raising his roosters and coon hunting with his bluetick coonhound.
