(WAVE) - A man is facing a murder charge for the 2019 shooting death of 24-year-old Martinus Williams, Jr.Williams was found with multiple bullet wounds on July 31, 2019 inside a former beauty salon near the intersection of 23rd and Oak Streets. Thursday, LMPD announced a Jefferson County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging 24-year-old Rotez Sykes with murder, robbery and tampering with physical evidence.

HANOVER, Ind. (WAVE) - A Louisville man has been arrested after a woman was found dead inside a home in Hanover, Ind. Police responded to a welfare check at a home on Hickory Drive on Monday, April 14 where officers found 35-year-old Wilma Robertson dead. Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 33-year-old Shawn Bailey of Louisville was arrested and charged with Robertson’s murder.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A woman was stabbed outside of Jewish Hospital Saturday morning as she was leaving work. A spokesperson for LMPD said the woman was leaving Jewish Hospital around 7:15 a.m. when a woman approached her and stabbed her. The employee went back inside the hospital for treatment and is expected to live. LMPD arrested Lacy Wilson in connection to the stabbing.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A 19-year-old died in the hospital after his dirt bike collided with a vehicle in the Beechmont neighborhood Friday night. Louisville Police responded to a report of a crash just after 10:40 p.m. Officers arrived to find Seth Jones injured after his dirt bike collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Taylor Blvd. and West Ashland Avenue. LMPD described the dirt bike as non-street legal. Jones was taken to UofL Hospital where he died Saturday morning.
