    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is dead after he was hit by a car in the Newburg neighborhood Monday night. Louisville Police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 5700 block of Preston Highway just before 10 p.m. on June 16. Officers arrived on the scene and found the collision. They determined that a man in a wheelchair and in all dark clothing was crossing Preston not in the crosswalk and was hit by an SUV going northbound on the highway.

    OMAHA, Nebr. (WAVE) - The Louisville baseball team kept its season alive in Omaha Tuesday and avenged its College World Series opening night loss to Oregon State. The Beavers won with a Gavin Turley walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth to give OSU a 4-3 win Friday. With the Cards’ win Tuesday, it’ll take two wins over Coastal Carolina Wednesday and Thursday to advance to the weekend’s Championship Series.
