    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Jefferson County Board of Education voted to ban cell phones in schools for the next school year, 2025-2026. In a board meeting on Tuesday, May 13, a 6-1 vote for ‘Option 3′ decided that JCPS students would not be able to use phones at all during the school day, including in the hallways and during lunch. The other two options would have banned the use of phones only during instructional time or during instructional time and in the hallways but allowed it during lunch.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Dozens of veterans are being honored across Wave Country Tuesday as ‘Honor Flight Bluegrass’ flies them to Washington D.C. to visit war memorials for free. The organization was created to honor World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans for their sacrifices. The veterans departed from Louisville Muhammad Ali airport around 8 Tuesday morning. They will see memorials and the changing of the guard.
