2 1/1 Just about every village in Norfolk celebrated VE Day and Joy Tofts remembers the party in New Buckenham where her dad, Harold, known as Happy, Tofts ran a much-loved shop with his wife Connie. “We got the piano out of the house and had a party in the street,” recalled Joy, now aged 91 and a popular dressmaker in Norwich. “We moved from Hingham to New Buckenham and VE Day was a special occasion,” she said.

A Twin Cities family is on a mission to raise awareness about domestic violence after losing their daughter. Lissa Weimelt says her wounds are still fresh. It's been five years since Weimelt and Bill Pew's 28-year-old daughter Maria was murdered by her husband in Maple Grove. "Maria was just the best daughter two parents could have. A lover of animals and nature, and she was a competitive cheerleader, a competitive gymnast," Weimelt said.
