Stanford kicker Emmet Kenney makes the 39-yard winning field goal as time runs out during Friday’s game against Syracuse in the JMA Wireless Dome. On a day celebrating the 44th Anniversary of the JMA Wireless Dome, the Syracuse Orange had a chance to improve to 3-0 on the season and be ranked. Syracuse men’s basketball defeated Virginia Tech 84-71 on Tuesday night to close out their home schedule. Head coach Adrian Autry’s team backed up Saturday’s win over Notre Dame in style, sprinting out to an eighteen-point lead by the halftime break. While Mike Young’s Hokie side battled back in the second frame, the deficit was far too great to overcome. It was the Judah Mintz show in the Dome.
