Hamilton’s longest street has a deep and rich history and is enjoying a resurgence as a diverse dining district. Is Barton Street part of the tapestry of your life? Was it ever? Stoney Creek offers an array of dining options, from pubs, sushi and pasta in Old Town along King Street to iconic slab pizza, Memphis BBQ, authentic Mexican and fine dining from one end to the other. Ancaster has a lot going for it, including some great places to eat and shop for food in its most historic neighbourhood. This is part of an ongoing series looking at the local array of dining districts. Founded as a town in 1793, Ancaster has a rich history and became part of the new City of Hamilton in 2002 when the five neighbouring municipalities were amalgamated.
