Share COLUMBIA, Md. — Howard County Police say a man has died after driving into a building in Columbia. At 12:04 PM, officers responded to the 9300 block of Gerwig Lane and found the car had crashed into Humanim, Inc. The driver was found dead. Investigators say they don't yet know what caused the crash, but did hear from witnesses that the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve in the road. At this time, police do not believe this was an intentional act.

The workers, two men, were working on the roof of a church when the ladder they were using touched a powerline. According to WJLA-ABC7, the incident occurred at the First Baptist Church of Camp Springs. A former Maryland Terrapins defensive back is facing murder charges after a shooting at a bar in DeLand, Florida. Avantae Traeviyon Williams, 24, is accused of gunning down 32-year-old Keshod Harris. Police responded to the scene at McCabe's Bar around 1:30 am on May 3 and learned that a fistfight had broken out between multiple men inside the bar. As the fight went on, one of the men, believed to be Williams, pulled out a gun and began firing.
