    Fifteen rehabilitated California brown pelicans were released into the wild at White Point Beach in San Pedro on Wednesday, May 28, following treatments for starvation and injuries. Since March, International Bird Rescue has admitted more than 250 brown pelicans to its San Pedro facility. The influx began at the Los Angeles Wildlife Center and soon extended to Northern California.
