From amateur home chef to cooking on national television, a Massachusetts woman is seeing success with her seasoned salt company. "I make garlic salt. Fresh handmade, farm-to-table garlic salt," said Suzy Sapir of Plympton. In 2006, Sapir launched her flavored garlic salt company called Hippy Pilgrim. The idea for the company came after someone gifted Sapir similar salt and she wanted to make her own.

A Massachusetts dog toy entrepreneur is seeing success in this growing market, and she said it’s all thanks to her beloved pup, Leo. "He’s been described as spirited, enthusiastic. He was called a ruffian. He was just a challenging, challenging puppy," Leo’s dog mom, Lisa Kamer, said. Kamer is also the owner and founder of Knots of Fun Dog Toys.
