TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - As the rain from overnight weakens through mid-morning, most spots will be dry late this morning into the early afternoon hours before a low chance of pop up showers redevelop this afternoon. Highs will be similar if not 1-2° cooler than yesterday, depending how much sun there is. The good news is tomorrow will be completely dry with a big warm-up this weekend.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Be aware of areas of fog this morning otherwise we may be able to sneak in some sun this morning and early afternoon after the fog dissipates. This will help temperatures warm up closer to 70° today, about 7-10° warmer than yesterday. There is a slight chance of rain late this afternoon with a better chance of rain tonight. Taking Action:There is uncertainty on how quickly rain develops this afternoon. No doubt northeast KS will be dry through 2pm.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The main concern today is the cloudy and cool weather. The chance for rain is low but there still may be some spotty showers that exist today, less than 0.10″ is expected. The next best chance for rain returns late Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. Temperatures do get back to more seasonal highs by the weekend. Taking Action:Don’t cancel outdoor plans today: Rain will be spotty and light.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Rain is expected all day at least somewhere in northeast KS especially as it increases from southwest to northeast throughout the morning into the early afternoon. This means areas especially from Topeka to the northeast may be dry for much of the morning but keep an eye on the radar especially if you have outdoor plans. Temperatures will be stuck in the 50s and 60s until Wednesday afternoon. Taking Action:Rain is likely all day at least somewhere in northeast KS.

Share TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Rain combined with cloud cover is the big weather story for the next 3 days. After the rain moves out of the area this morning, there may be 45-55 mph wind gusts for a short time once it dries out with the next best chance of rain returning throughout the day Monday. The risk for t-storms is low but any t-storms that exist, lightning would be the main concern.
