A year later, Clarence Bridwell is heading to Houston in hopes of a life-saving treatment. Alyssa Sterrett told her dad Thursday morning that she was headed to get lunch with a friend. Instead, she came to News 18. Sterrett’s dad, Clarence Bridwell, is only 54 and was diagnosed with terminal stage four kidney cancer on May 30, 2024.

One statistic showed that 46% of respondents avoided receiving healthcare in the past year due to fear of discrimination by a healthcare provider.
