HYMERA – A Jasonville man was arrested early Wednesday morning by Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department deputies following a report of a domestic dispute. According to the sheriff’s office, the victim ran approximately two miles after leaving the residence before finding help and calling 911 from another person’s home. Following the victim’s account, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Hymera. As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Bryce Emory of Jasonville was detained.

SULLIVAN – Sullivan Police arrested a woman Wednesday night after responding to a report of a breaking and entering in progress in the 1100 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, officers and Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies observed a ladder positioned to access a window and heard movement inside the home. As officers secured the perimeter, a woman exited the residence through a rear door and was immediately detained. The woman was 61-year-old Tina Gourley of Sullivan.

BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested on multiple drug charges and for being a habitual traffic violator after a concerned citizen reported suspicious activity at a local gas station. When advised of the complaint, Patterson denied using illegal narcotics but allegedly kept her arms positioned to conceal her inner elbows from view. Patterson stated she did not have identification with her and refused consent to a vehicle search.

MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested on multiple charges, including resisting law enforcement, causing bodily injury, after allegedly leading police on a brief pursuit. According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Mitchell Police Officer Blackwell, the incident began around 6:14 a.m. on Saturday, May 3rd. Officer Blackwell was observing traffic near Doc Hamilton Boulevard and Meridian Road intersection when he clocked a vehicle traveling eastbound at 71 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone.
