Troopers from PSP Meadville said Thursday they’ve received an increased number of reports about these impersonation scams and are reminding the public not to give out any personal information or click any attached links.

The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Deepak Pakhring, who immigrated to Erie from Bhutan, with Erie County Lyell Cook saying no foul play is suspected, but he was alive when the vehicle caught fire.
