On the ballot this year is a battle for the U.S. Senate, a position which is currently held by Marsha Blackburn, R-Tennessee.

"As members of the ERLC’s Executive Committee, we formally retract the press release which was sent yesterday," the statement read. "There was not an authorized meeting, vote, or action taken by the Executive Committee.
