    JACKSON, Tenn. — One West Tennessee school district swore in new board members at their monthly meeting Monday evening. Monday night, the Jackson-Madison County School System welcomed in three new members to the Board of Education. Shane Barnes, Glenn Gaugh, and Andrea Givens-Moore officially joined the school board, all three swearing in before Judge Kyle Atkins. The trio were recently elected to the school board on the August 1 ballot.

    JACKSON, Tenn. — After a deadly mass shooting leaves 4 people dead and multiple injured, one question is left unanswered. On Wednesday, a mass shooting took place at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia leaving two teachers and two students dead, along with 9 others injured. Friday the 14 year old shooter, Colt Gray, and his father were in court.

    JACKSON, Tenn. — One community comes together to celebrate a common interest, while also making some extra cash. This Friday marks the first of three appearances of the Downtown Jackson Art Walk. It’s an event where artists can sell their work at various booths set up around the Jackson Walk. And this evening multiple artists did just that alongside food vendors and live music.

    HUNTINGDON, Tenn. — One resident of a West Tennessee town expresses her grievances at Tuesday’s city council meeting. This resident says she’s upset with the City of Huntingdon’s ever increasing water prices. According to Huntingdon Mayor Nina Smothers, in 2017 the city was recommended by the state to begin incrementally increasing the price of water for residents in the city because they were not making a profit, which Smothers says is mandatory by the state.

    JACKSON, Tenn. — A crash Tuesday afternoon leads to one airlifted from the scene. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle wreck occurred around 3 p.m. on 45 Bypass near Passmore Lane. THP says the wreck occurred when a sedan and a semi truck collided. This led to the sedan being pushed against a guard rail. One individual sustained serious injuries. Traffic on 45 Bypass was reduced to one lane near the location of the wreck.
