Two-time women's champion Hellen Obiri and defending male champion Sisay Lemma will return to compete in the 2025 Boston Marathon.Kenya's Obiri, who won the race in 2023 and 2024, will seek to become the first woman to win three consecutive Boston Marathon races since Fatuma Roba from 1997 to 1999. The elite field for the 2024 Boston Marathon men’s race came out today. The field is led by two-time defending champ Evans Chebet of Kenya. The 35-year-old, who has a 2:03:00 pb and has won 6 of the last seven marathons he has started, will be looking to become just the 5th man to win 3-straight Boston marathons (No man has ever won more than 3 in a row in Boston).
