PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) — Crews are hard at work as the Table Rock State Park wildfire continued to burn on Monday. The wildfire has burned more than 1,400 acres. So far, 0% of the fire has been contained. Pickens County Sheriff Tommy Blankenship said the fire was started by the “negligent act” of a group of teenage hikers, and has cut short efforts to locate Womacks. The sheriff added that there will be an increased amount of deputies on Highway 11 to help traffic keep moving.

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A person was killed early Saturday morning while doing tree work in Anderson County. According to Anderson County Coroner’s Office, coroners are currently investigating an incident off Highway 81 North in which a person was reportedly doing tree work when a tree fell on them.
