    Owamni, the widely heralded Indigenous restaurant from chef and humanitarian Sean Sherman, is opening its Wakpa Bar for the season. The patio bar opened in 2024 in a space just outside the restaurant's lower level along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. Wakpa, the Dakota word for river, offers beer and wine as well as grab-and-go versions of Owamni's decolonized cuisine.

    The Minnesota Frost may have lost some key players in the PWHL's expansion draft, but they'll add a few more before they attempt to defend their back-to-back Walter Cup titles. The PWHL Draft is taking place on June 24, and the Frost are hosting a watch party at Tom Reid's Hockey City Pub, just blocks from their home rink in downtown St. Paul. The six-round draft takes place in Ottawa, but the Walter Cup will be sitting in St. Paul for the draft party.
