We’ve declared a First Alert Weather Day through midweek as a dangerous and prolonged heat wave intensifies across Eastern North Carolina. Extreme temperatures and stifling humidity will bring heat index values well above 105°, with some spots approaching or even exceeding 110° Monday through Wednesday. A Heat Advisory is in effect beginning 10 AM Monday through 10 AM Tuesday for much of the region.
