Rivers Cuomo performs with Weezer on Oct. 4, 2024 at Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena as part of the Voyage to the Blue Planet tour. Dyer Oxley / KUOW Bumbershoot has released its two-day lineup for 2025, boasting Bright Eyes, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Aurora, Digable Planets, Murder City Devils, Janelle Monáe, Car Seat Headrest, and more. Weezer will bring its "Voyage to the Blue Planet" concert as the opening night headliner. Bumbershoot is Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30-31.

As millennial's music becomes cemented as "classic" and a standard representation of the generation, clubs in Seattle and across the United States are selling out Emo Nights where emo music fans can dance and scream to their favorite emo hits from the year 2000 and on. But it's not just millennials who are flocking to these clubs. Younger audiences are filling dance floors, and they know every lyric. Move over disco night. Forget about '80s dance night.

Perhaps the first thing audiences notice about Marvel's "Thunderbolts*" is that there is an asterisk at the end of the title. It's led to plenty of speculation about the film. Yes, the asterisk could eventually mean something deeper about this Marvel movie, but you'll have to watch it to understand that. While filmmakers may not have had this thought in mind, another way to interpret this asterisk is that this is a different kind of Marvel movie. RELATED: Magically horrific.

Emo music is a subgenre of punk rock that is characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics, usually dealing with angst and social alienation. The music is sometimes raw, but almost always very melodic. Emo's heyday emerged after the year 2000, when it was popularized by bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Panic! At The Disco. That era of emo is now strongly associated with the Millennial generation.
