An ex-Coppin State University Police officer admitted on Wednesday to forcibly touchinga 16-year-old girl while on duty after offering to drive her home. Former Cpl. Jamar Brockington, who was a 17-year veteran of the force, pleaded guilty in Baltimore Circuit Court to misconduct in office and fourth-degree sex offense. He will receive credit for the 110 days that he served in jail and on home detention. He must spend three years on supervised probation.

A Harford County judge has scheduled sentencing for the man who was found guilty of raping and murdering Rachel Morin on the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air, a case that received national attention. Circuit Judge Yolanda L. Curtin is set at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 to sentence Victor Martinez-Hernandez, 24, on charges of first-degree premeditated murder, first-degree rape, third-degree sex offense and kidnapping.
