Free and fair elections in most countries, serve as the cornerstone of democracy, on the surface, the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), is a great representation of that. Nevertheless, recent voter turnout numbers expose a concerning reality. With an estimated population of 47,000, only 9,385 individuals were registered to vote in the most recent election.
